"...Be Shepherds of God's flock that
is under your care..."
1 Peter 5:2

Creating a Culture of Care

As Christians, we are taught from an early age that we are to be a reflection of God’s love, a light to the world. But how often do we live that out? Not because we lack the desire, but more often, because we lack confidence that God could use us. What are we actually supposed to DO to make that happen?

As we are facing uncertain times as a nation, we are looking for hope and assurance. God is the primary source of both. Do you want to share the hope that you have through your faith as worries or fear settles into the hearts of those in your life? Perhaps God will use economic challenges to bring an eternal inheritance to someone in your sphere of influence. Or, perhaps God is calling you to partner with your pastor and church staff to offer care and encouragement within your own church family. This intentional care strengthens the church family and reflects the biblical design of God’s church.

The “Creating a Culture of Care” workshop was developed to guide people with hearts of care and compassion to take ordinary relationships in life and allow God to use them for his purposes. During the workshop, we talk about mutual care in the body of Christ and how to listen to God when prompted to reach out to someone. We describe Christian Care in contrast with regular friendships and How to Pray with People. This time of practical teaching will show you ways to make a difference in the life of someone else on behalf of the Lord. As a body of Christ, we need to be caring for one another intentionally so our family of God reflects the image of Jesus Christ.
